{{{Sis}}} Sorry you're having to go through this hassle, but I highly suspect your HP has sound reasoning for it. My spin is that your HP is grooming you to be of ultimate service for others who will be, or already are, in the same boat.

Don't fret, hon. Your HP didn't bring you this far just to drop you on your head, butt, or anything else. ;oD I'm not so sure your doc's refusal to respond to the query is such a wise thing, though. It could bode badly for YOU in the long run. If it were me I'd respectfully request that your doc write that letter and make at least four (preferably notarized) copies of it.

The first copy gets sent to the director in charge of the bureaucratic buttmunch(es) who are not only invading your privacy, but second-guessing your doc's treament methods. Your doc is rightfully insulted by this hogwash, and blatant attempt to interfere with your treatment. Do not send it to "attn: [insert flunky's name here]" If you folks want this crap nipped in the bud, go to the top. Send it registered mail and request a dated signature reciept.

The second copy should be sent to the Judge who ordered you to this program in the first place. It should also include a polite cover letter of complaint outlining your and your doctor's grievances. Be sure to thank the Judge for his/her consideration of this matter. Manners count big time in the legal system, make no mistake. Get this person in your court and you could have an ally for life- no kidding. Again, registered snail mail + dated sig reciept.

The last two copies: one each for your file and your doc's. Never know when they will be needed again, right?

Remember, the objective here isn't to deliberately get anyone into trouble- that would only create bad karma for you and/or your doc. The goal here is to put a muzzle & choke chain on those idiots so folks like you don't have to keep putting up with crap like this. The keys to stress here are : honesty, diplomacy, manners, and tact.
